Georgia Music Hall of Famer (2009) Third Day has reached yet another milestone in its already illustrious career with the certification of its ninth RIAA Gold Certification marking sales of more than 500,000 copies of Revelation.

(NASHVILLE, TN)–September 1, 2010–Georgia Music Hall of Famer (2009) Third Day has reached yet another milestone in its already illustrious career with the certification of its ninth RIAA Gold Certification marking sales of more than 500,000 copies of Revelation (7/29/2008).

The album launched with a performance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, a Billboard cover feature and an American Music Award trophy. In addition, the album yielded two GRAMMY nominations in song categories plus the live version of the album, Live Revelations: On Stage, Off Stage, Backstage, also certified Gold, took home a GRAMMY for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album earlier this year.

The announcement caps a productive summer for the band, as the four-man rock unit finished production, alongside producer Paul Moak, on its upcoming 11th studio release MOVE, set to release on October 19.

“Lift Up Your Face,” the anticipated album’s first radio single, showcases the unmistakable vocals of The Blind Boys of Alabama. The song is not only poignant but is proving its potency as well. Already a multi-format smash, “Lift Up Your Face” is garnering undeniable attention on both the AC and CHR charts with 91 stations spinning by its Aug. 13 add date and touting the most increased spins the weeks of Aug. 9th and Aug. 16th.

Already No. 12 at CHR and No. 15 at AC Monitored, the song is seeing more than 3.5 million weekly impressions and is well on its way to reaching the benchmark set by the band’s previous 27 No. 1 singles. “Lift Up Your Face” is a song of encouragement, and beyond the early radio success, it is a small taste of an album that was written to provide hope for those in the midst of desperate times such as these.

Third Day will finish the summer and enter fall performing at select major festivals throughout the country, leading to the start of the World Vision/AEG Live-sponsored “Make A Difference Tour 2010.” The tour, which also features Michael W. Smith, tobyMac and New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado, launches September 30, and will hit arenas in 20 cities through the end of October. (For updated tour dates please visit www.ThirdDay.com.)

(LOS ANGELES, CA)–August 31, 2010–Top Cow Productions, Inc. is proud to announce that the first issue from their mega-event series, Artifacts, has sold out for a second time at Diamond and will head back to the printers for a third printing to meet demand, a first in Top Cow history.

The dynamic pairing of writer Ron Marz (Witchblade) with the art team of Michael Broussard (The Darkness), Rick Basaldua (The Darkness), Sal Regla (Magdalena) and Sunny Gho of IFS (Velocity) delivers one of the most accessible and engaging event series to date.

”The rapid sales velocity on Artifacts #1 has been incredibly gratifying and a testament to the fantastic work that the entire creative team of Ron Marz, Michael Broussard, Rick Basaldua, Sal Regla, and Sunny Gho have been doing,” commented Top Cow Publisher Filip Sablik, “We’ve never gone to a third printing, but this is our biggest event to date and we want our retail partners to know that we are fully behind it.”

“Obviously I’m thrilled we’re going go to a third printing of Artifacts #1,” said Marz. “Huge thanks to the readers and retailers for supporting the book. The most gratifying aspect to the whole thing is that a lot of new readers are trying out Artifacts, finding it absolutely accessible, and using it as their gateway into the Top Cow Universe.”

Bringing together a number of plot threads from all over the Top Cow Universe the past few years, Top Cow’s first foray into a universe-tying event has been well-received across comic book and pop culture communities, including Comic Book Resources, Newsarama, Comic Vine, iFanboy, Techland, USA Today and many, many more taking notice.

Artifacts #1 3rd Printing, a 32-page full color comic book for $3.99, will be in stores September 22, 2010. The saga continues with Artifacts #2 arriving in stores the same day.

With the start of school happening, many children in an area known as “Hard Bargain” would have been wearing slippers to school, possibly until winter; however, thanks to Katinas Missions Ministry and Outreach, 200 children will have new sneakers on their feet.

Partnering with 10 Day Franklin, a division of Bethel Church Franklin, the two adopted the area providing sport camps, field day, creative arts and dinner nightly for 10 days.

“Our prayer is that the church of America will begin to have the same compassion for areas like Hard Bargain as easily as we would have for third world countries,” said John Katina. “You don’t have to look far to realize that there is need everywhere!”

The boys and girls who attend the Kids Kamps also received a Bible, Biblical Foundations book and at the end of the evangelistic outreach, a carnival was brought in to wrap up the week.

The Katinas consist of five brothers, James, Jesse, Joe, John, and Sam who are from the Samoan Islands and have been touring and recording for the past 20 years. To find out more about the Katinas or their Katinas & Friends Cruise, visit their website at http://www.thekatinas.com.

Visiting 20+ cities through early November, Superchick will be joined by guest artists Manafest, Me In Motion and Bread of Stone.

In support of Superchick’s latest release, Reinvention (April 20, 2010), the tour will feature reinventions of popular songs from the band’s more than 10-year career. Opening with a concert in Hobbs, N.M., the tour will visit mainly West Coast and Midwest cities, supported by Superchick’s latest radio single, “Still Here,” currently impacting both Christian AC and CHR.

“‘Reinvention’ is a word that means change, and that is what we expect on this tour: GOD to show up like never before and change our lives forever,” says Superchick bassist Matt Dally. “We want your life to be different when you walk out of the show; I want my life to be different as well. Come and see God transform us all to be closer to Him. Oh and it’s going to rock your face off too!”

A complete tour itinerary follows this release. For tour updates, visit www.superchickonline.com

Inpop Records’ sister-fronted band Superchick comprises Tricia Brock (vocals) and Melissa Brock (vocals, guitar), Matt Dally (bass, vocals), Dave Ghazarian (lead guitar, vocals), Max Hsu (keyboards/DJ), and Chase Lovelace (drums). With six albums to date, Superchick has sold upwards of 750,000 albums and celebrated multiple record-breaking No.1 singles at radio, including the standout tracks “We Live” and “Stand In The Rain.” Superchick’s songs have been heard in more than 100 films, television shows and video games, making Superchick one of the most licensed bands in the Christian music industry. Superchick’s 2008 release, Rock What You Got, turned out the group’s highest ever first week sales numbers and has received significant licensing placements on MTV’s “The Hills,” ABC television spots for “True Beauty,” and the Style Network’s reality series “Running In Heels,” to name a few. The album additionally received a 2009 GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album and produced the Top 5 radio hit, “Hold.” Its latest project, Reinvention, released April 20, 2010, touches on significant lyrical themes that have resonated with Superchick’s fans over the last decade. Heavily influenced by the band’s television and film exposure, it is a soundtrack album for a world filled with fast car chases, giant fighting robots, teen romance and bad guys walking in slow motion. Three new songs accompany nine reinventions pulled from every album in the band’s discography. For more information, visit www.superchickonline.com.

Over the past seven years, Chris Greenwood has used the moniker Manafest to organically build his fan base playing hundreds of shows on three continents. Manafest dropped his fourth studio project, “The Chase,” in 2010 to much acclaim including the hit song “Avalanche,” currently Top 5 at CHR. After his other three records that received international acclaim including huge success in Japan, Juno nominee Manafest released “The Chase” as his most aggressive and sonically evolved record to date. In 2006, Manafest released “Glory” from which the rock anthem “Impossible,” featuring Thousand Foot Krutch’s Trevor McNevan, became a global hit. This release dramatically increased his record sales 5x over. In 2008, Manafest followed up with “Citizens Activ,” which catapulted success garnering multiple TV placements and his overall presences in the US and internationally.

Me In Motion broke out on the national Christian music scene the beginning of this year with the release of their single, “Losers,” from their debut self-titled album on Centricity Music. The song peaked in the Top Twenty on the CHR Christian chart and the accompanying video world premiered on the Air 1 website, besides garnering airplay from several video outlets that included the Gospel Music Channel and Godbeat TV. Their second single, “The God I Know,” is currently at #18 on the Christian CHR chart and still climbing. Me In Motion, which is comprised of Seth Mosley, Brian Dexter and Tim Wilson, is becoming a favorite on the touring circuit with their high energy performances and song lyrics that are connecting with fans across the country. Due to the early success and incredible talent of Me In Motion, the group was asked to appear on three high-profile tours earlier this year with newsboys, RED/Pillar and Sanctus Real.

With a new range of vocals, talent and tour experience, Bread of Stone hits the mark with their highly anticipated, long awaited third album, “Saturate.” The bands goal is to share what God has been doing in their lives personally and as a group. The pop/rock 5 song EP features “Beautiful,” which was inspired after a recent trip to Indonesia. Lead singer, Ben Kristijanto said “we spoke with a recent convert named Abraham and he told us that when we heard about the Gospel of Christ, he was in awe of how Someone so great would come down for someone like him and turn it in to something beautiful. Bread of Stone has toured with some of the top names in Christian music including the newsboys, Stellar Kart, Decemberadio, Petra, Building 429 and many others.
“We’ve become good friends with Skillet over the past couple years and are excited to jump on the road with them. Having both Papa Roach and Skillet together on one stage, you best believe we’re going to burn it down!!!
Skillet’s most recent release, AWAKE made a blockbuster debut at #2 on the Billboard 200, has since been certified gold and achieved a TOP 5 Active Rock and No. 2 Christian Rock hit with “Monster” and Top 15 Active Rock as well No. 1 CHR & Christian Rock smash with “HERO.” Various tracks from AWAKE have received major TV placements including NBC Sunday Night Football, NBC’s “The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania” and MTV’s “Bully Beatdown.” As one of the hardest working live acts, their solo tours ranked within Pollstar’s Concert Pulse Top 50 Tours and landed the band on the cover of the magazine. Skillet has spent the last year on the road with Creed, Shinedown, various headline festival appearances and the “Awake & Alive” co-headline tour with TobyMac. The band has racked up an array of achievements since they first formed in 2003, including two BMI Music Awards, multiple Grammy ® nominations, RIAA gold certification for Comatose and cumulative sales approaching 2 million.

Papa Roach continues to fortify their reputation as one of the best live bands regardless of genre and recently electrified the 100,000 plus audience at this year’s Sonisphere festival in the UK with an explosive performance of which Metal Hammer said, “The Roach are sensational for every second they are onstage.” In a review of the single, Billboard wrote, ”Kick In The Teeth” may be its (Papa Roach’s) most rousing anthem yet.” With over 8 million records sold, Papa Roach has produced multi-format hits on every album they have released over the past ten years, proving their longevity and relevance throughout. With Time for Annihilation…On The Record and On The Road, Papa Roach bring together what they do best by delivering a highly energetic entertainment package for fans old and new alike.
Anticipation builds for the October 19 release of acclaimed rock band Third Day’s latest project MOVE.

(NASHVILLE, TN)–August 23, 2010–Anticipation builds for the October 19 release of acclaimed rock band Third Day’s latest project MOVE. An industry leader in touring, awards and sales, Third Day delivers its soul-stirring 11th studio album, showcasing members Mac Powell, Mark Lee, Tai Anderson and David Carr at their melodic and lyrical best, peering insightfully at life within the church as well as pointedly seeking to understand the needs and questions of those without faith. It’s an often difficult balance to achieve, but Third Day succeeds in speaking candidly and hopefully to listeners of every stripe, challenging each not just to a place of faith – but a place of faith in action.

Produced by Paul Moak (Mat Kearney, Matt Maher) and recorded in the band’s new, Atlanta-based, state-of-the-art studio “The Quarry” and Moak’s well known “The Smoakstack,” the 12-track offering has been described by early listeners as “visceral and gritty; reminiscent of the acclaimed band’s Time record.”

The project leads with the incendiary first single “Lift Up Your Face”–featuring The Blind Boys of Alabama – which has claimed more than 3.1 million impressions this week alone. To date, the song has 91 AC & CHR stations spinning and is No. 17 on the National Christian Audience Chart, No. 17 on the AC Monitored Chart, No. 20 on the AC Indicator and No. 17 at CHR.

“It’s been one of the hottest summers ever and Third Day’s new single couldn’t have come at a better time. While New Yorkers sizzle in the summer sun, so does ‘Lift Up Your Face’ as it came in at No. 1 across the board in our pre-test! ‘Lift up your face’ is powerfully refreshing, like a jet ski ride at the Jersey Shore on a 100 degree day,” raves Keith Stevens, Assistant Program Director & Music Director/PM Drive, STAR 99.1

Mac Powell, the band’s charismatic lead vocalist, explains, “The country is going through hard times, and there are doubts and insecurity. The message [of ‘Lift Up Your Face’] is our message of encouragement – not just to listeners though—to us as well. It’s a message we all need to hear and I think that really sums up a lot of what we were going for with this record.”

Musically, MOVE delivers songs that are rootsy, soulful and riveting, taking full advantage of Third Day’s longstanding rock influence. Yet the sound retains an edgy authenticity that’s incredibly timely as heard in the raw and addictive, “Make Your Move.” Additional highlight tracks include the worshipful “Children of God,” “Gone,” “Surrender” and “Follow Me There.” Each song is lyrically inspiring with hints at Third Day’s southern roots from the slide guitar and hand claps, reminiscent of Tom Petty, to the layers of smokey vocals.

Of the new album, Powell adds, “There are a lot of songs that [come from] a believer talking to people outside of the walls of the church and then there are several songs that find people outside of the walls of the church looking in through the windows of the church, trying to see what’s going on and asking those questions like ‘do you really believe this? I need you to prove this to me because I want it to be true, but I just don’t believe it right now.’”

It’s hard not to believe once a listener is enveloped within the driving drums and exuberant delivery of gospel-tinged “Follow Me There” or challenged by the guitar-picking, hand-clapping, in-your-face classic, “Surrender.”

Still, songs like the worshipful “Children of God” and “Trust in Jesus,” recall the band’s deep connections to offerings birthed from the heart of the church. And on tracks like “Sound of Your Voice,” it’s as if Third Day’s members momentarily forget the audience is even listening and are simply singing praise from the deepest shadows of their own souls.

The band will be undertaking several incredibly ambitious launch events leading up to the Oct. 19 street date – and will continue to connect with its fans through the holidays.

Tai Anderson, Third Day’s deft bassist, shares, “We can’t wait to tour this new record. We wrote a lot of material for the Move project while we were touring earlier this year. We constantly challenged ourselves to write songs that would work just as well or better live than our biggest songs. That challenge carried through the project and live became the filter for what would ultimately make the final cut for Move.”

In addition, fans can catch Third Day as part of the World Vision/AEG live sponsored “Make A Difference Tour 2010,” which launches on Sept. 30 and will hit arenas in 20 cities through the end of October. The tour also features New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado along with recording artists Michael W. Smith and tobyMac.

Disciple will release their latest, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, on Sept. 14 with INO Records.

(NASHVILLE, TN)–August 23, 2010–Disciple will release their latest, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, on Sept. 14 with INO Records.

The newest project, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, was a collective songwriting effort for the band. The 12-track album is loaded with spiritual sentiments, spanning subjects as diverse as hope, redemption, perseverance and self-esteem.

The first radio single off of the record, “Dear X, You Don’t Own Me” is already No. 1 on the Christian Rock chart and No. 14 at CHR. The song comes from the perspective of a person writing an all-encompassing letter to pain, shame, hate and anger. “All of those negative things can chase us, this song says ‘you can chase me all you want, but I’ve moved on,’” says band front man Kevin Young. The single is also currently available early at digital retailers. “Shot Heard Around the World” is another battle anthem from the GMA Dove Award winners who are known for their tunes being supported by athletic mainstays ESPN, NFL, WWE, Speed TV and more. The empowering “Invisible,” which was co-written with acclaimed tunesmith Ben Glover (Brandon Heath, Fireflight), was inspired by stories of concertgoer’s struggles with cutting and suicide.

“Every time we write a song, one of our goals is how it will affect somebody, not just the lost, but believers who also need to be encouraged, guided and shepherded,” explains Young. “I feel like it’s very important for us to be honest in everything that we say and to create art that’s true to who we are to reach people as clearly as possible.”

In keeping with Disciple’s tireless touring movement, the guys are loading up their buses for a tour alongside Thousand Foot Krutch during the months of Sept./Oct then dates with Red and Brian “Head” Welch from Korn in Nov., followed by a European trek and a return to the States for a solo-headlining jaunt.

Disciple’s first release on INO Records Disciple (2005) brought home three No. 1 hits, while their sophomore album Scars Remain (2006) bolstered the band’s radio hit “After the World.” Disciple then debuted their third INO Records’ project Southern Hospitality (2008). Disciple has been nominated for a whopping nine GMA Awards including a win for “Rock Album of the Year” in 2008. Their hit single “Game On” received massive placement in sports shows across the country including “Best Damn Sports Show,” NFL’s “Total Axxess,” WWE’s “Cyber Sunday” and Speed TV’s “Speed Report,” as well as in venues such as Wachovia Center in Philadelphia and even Madison Square Garden in New York City. The single was also used in promotion for CBS shows “Criminal Minds” and “CSI Miami.” In 2008, the rockers were tapped to perform one of the songs on “WWE: The Music Vol. 8” for WWE superstar duo Hawkins and Ryder. Most recently, XBOX 360 selected Disciple to join the ranks of Fall Out Boy, P.O.D., Gym Class Heroes and others by choosing the band for “Game with Fame,” a program granting fans the chance to play the band in Halo 3. Disciple is comprised of Kevin Young– vocals, Israel Beachy- bass, Andrew Welch- guitar, Micah Sannan- guitar and Trent Reiff- drums.
