The Lord called Matthew to repentance and faith near the end of college, in large part through his beautiful future wife, Leah. She challenged his weak views of God and Jesus Christ and forced him to think through the Bible’s claims. 10 months later, they were married. Now, Matthew currently resides in Cincinnati, OH with Leah and their son, Seth, born in December of 2008.
Matthew also obtained his MBA in 2007, and he’s currently working as a consultant with insurance companies (just as fun as it sounds), but his passion is for the Lord and the furtherance of his glory. He’s run a blog at www.chosenforgrace.blogspot.com for about 14 months, but is looking forward to the opportunity to write more and help others determine what music and books are really worth the investment of their time. He’s also taken some theology classes and is looking into the possibility of seminary somewhere in the future. In the meantime, he makes due by reading as many books his wife will allow him to buy (aside from his family, he’s most proud of his upstairs library).
In his spare time, in addition to reading, Matthew loves listening to music, and spending time with his family (both his parents and in-laws live in Cincinnati, along with some siblings on both sides, so free time is scarce but babysitters are plentiful).
