Lydia Akinola

My name is Lydia Akinola, and I have a dinky seventeen years to my name, but sadly I am not young enough to know everything.  When it comes to writing about myself, I’m usually at a loss for words, but here we go. I’m from England; have a ‘posh’ accent, and live in the ‘City of dreaming spires’. Hopefully, I’ll be able to put all the intellectual prowess invested in me to good use.

About music: it should be cherished as a gift from heaven, I don’t like thinking about it as a consumerist commodity, but maybe that’s because no one in their right mind would ever buy a track of me playing either the piano or the violin. Playing has helped to foster my love of music, but as much as I like Erik Satie’s melodies, I am just as happy armed with a camera, some cheese and a red apple enjoying the rainy weather England is famous for.

This bio wouldn’t be complete without me glorifying the name of the Lord, for making who I am, and for bringing me here to do something that I love. I can only pray that his name is glorified. Amen.

I just want to say that I honoured to be writing for you all, and I hope you’ll excuse my foreign spellings and quaint phraseology. And as a little post scriptum, it’s football, not soccer! Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
