sho-barakaThis edition of the Profess Interview Series brings to you an exclusive conversation between TCM Staff Writer Claude Atcho and Reach Records recording artist, Sho Baraka. In our interview, Sho talks about the 13 Letters Curriculum, his new mixtape “Barakaology” and taking things too seriously, the upcoming DWYL tour, and the state of Christian hip-hop.

You can listen to (or download) the podcast here.

You can check out our full list of interviews here.

Biographical Information: While in college, through the lives of some solid Christians on campus, the Lord rescued Sho Baraka and redeemed his heart. Sho’s message changed from promoting himself and Hip Hop to promoting Christ, and now he wants the world to see the Lord at work in him. Our popular culture today elevates the lifestyles of rappers who promote ideas that only destroy our culture, but because of God’s grace Sho has a different message: “Turn My Life Up.” Sho currently lives in Atlanta, Ga with his wife and children where they are involved with planting Blueprint Church (www.blueprintchurch.org).

A special thanks to Sho Baraka for taking the time to answer some of our questions and to DJ at Reach Records for helping put together this interview for us.
